The Great Fire Of London

The Great Fire Of London was a spread of fire that spread through the central parts of London. It began on 2nd September, Sunday 1666 and it lasted for four days. It spread through the city of London, St. Pauls Cathedral, and the roman city walls and spread everywhere in the city except the City Of Westminister.

It spread through 13,200 houses, 87 churches. The fire began in Thomas Farrinier's bakery in Pudding lane near the london bridge. It has been caused by a spark from thomas farineirs oven falling into a pile of fuel. It spread easily because all the houses were made of wood and it was a very hot summer day. The very next day the fire slackened. All the people in the city blamed a person called Robert Hubert that he began the Great Fire Of London. After few days, 3 diffrent plans were given by Christopher Wren, John Evelyn, and Robert Hooke to king Charles II for rebuilding the city, Samuel Peyps (very famous writer and politician) recorded The Great Fire Of London details in his diary.

After the great fire of london, King Charles II sent the army to the houses to rescue the people but 6 of them lost their lives. The fire spread through 1 and a half miles. There was a peice of pottery that melted on the road because of the fire. Kind Regards,

Mahatma Gandhi

Mahatma Gandhi was a great leader in India. He was born on 2 October 1869, in Gujarat. When he was a child, he learned about the religions of Hinduism and Jainism. Gandhi's family moved to Rajkot when he was 7 years old. In Rajkot, Gandhi attended elementary school and then high school, where he was a bit shy and he did not make friends easily. He was the youngest child in his family. After he finished learning in school, he used to rush back home to spend all his free time reading lots of books. In 1887, he finished his studies at a University in Bombay. He tried to start a law career, but unfortunately, he was very unsuccessful. In 1893, he got a job in South Africa. He saw Europeans not treating Indians very well. He got into politics so he can fight for Indian rights. Gandhi returned to India in 1915. He told all the Indians to stay peaceful.

After few years Gandhi became india's most strongest political leader. Gandhi's followers stopped using british products. Gandhi told all the indians to march to the sea to bring their own salt for themselves. Sometimes, Gandhi was jailed for his actions. After gandhi was released he did continue to fight for independence. In 1947 India won its independence and gandhi felt happy. But he felt disappointed because India's land was divided into two countries : India and Pakistan.

He tried to make peace. But unfortunately on 30th January 1948, In delhi, Nathuram Godse killed Gandhi and that was the end of his life. After gandhi's death, the whole world was inspired by Mahatma Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.

My learnings from Gandhi's life:
Gandhi bravely fought for indian rights and after his death he became the world's most strongest, popular and famous political leader.
